Run the Jewels Air Force 1s

Created out of a pure passion for one of my favorite rap duos, my goal with this project was to design a pair of hip-hop-oriented Air Force 1s that would look good on stage.

I considered every detail from ordering a custom made pair of black Nike Air Force 1s featuring black leather straps and gum rubber soles to compliment the gold artwork.

I decided to tell each rapper's story on their own shoe. I focused on El-P's story in music production and life in New York on the left shoe. On the right shoe, you'll find Killer Mike's famous jewelry, hints to his Netflix show, and more. Scattered throughout both shoes are references to the group, their songs, lyrics, and collaborations.
