The 12 Days of Crassmas

I was joking with my wife one November night, changing the lyrics of Christmas songs to make them a bit... crass. This was when the idea came to mind that it would be fun to destroy a song by changing the whole song to be semi-adult but still keeping it Christmas-themed.

The result is what you see here: The 12 Days of Crassmas. Taking notes from The Hangover, The Office, rap, and relative substances. To keep it in theme with the name, I established a rugged aesthetic in the lettering and illustrations using Sharpie markers.

Each daily Instagram post consisted of two images. The first was the first part of the line, and the second was the gift from "my true love." Over time, the first image collected objects hinting at the previous days' gifts.

I had plans to create a full song and animation to accommodate the project. However, I ran out of time and decided to save it for the next version in 2021.
